Fitting Advice

Forget outdated string bikinis, swimwear is now a fashion statement all of its own. Never have your beachside looks been so important in expressing your own personal style but style isn’t just about choosing the right garments it’s also about a getting a great fit! We’ve put together some tips that we hope will help you get the perfect fit first time.
We understand that trying your swimwear on at home with your socks and knickers on isn’t the same as being abroad and lying in the sun so imagine you’re on your 5* vacation, relaxed with a lovely cool drink in hand! It might just help…

A Firm Fit

-Ensure your swimwear is firm and snug around your body. Remember swimwear gets heavy when it absorbs water, you need your swimwear to be skin-tight in order to stay on.

- We would advise against choosing a larger size or choosing a size that fits flat on the body i.e. no firmness or pinching of the elastic. If you’ve read our product care instructions you’ll understand that over time the elastane in your swimwear will lose its strength and elasticity, therefore it’s crucial your swimwear fits firm right from its first wear to get as much life out of your swimwear as possible.

-We recommend choosing your swimwear size based on your trouser size, the last thing you want is your swimwear to be loose and baggy around the legs and bum. Swimwear can stretch to fit but not shrink!

Bust Support & Fit

- If your chosen swimwear item is cup sized and doesn’t have a formed cup, you should consider going down a cup size. Swimwear fabric is super stretchy and will comfortably fit around the bust, so by going down the cup size you will get a firmer fit, extra support all whilst feeling a little more secure.

- Scoop and swoop your boobs. Yes, you’ve read correctly. Use your hand to scoop the opposite boob (right from underneath your armpits) to the front of the suit to fill the cups on each side your swimwear.

-Adjust your straps. You should be able to fit two fingers snuggly underneath each strap.

-Remember, your bust shape in swimwear will be completely different from the bust shape you get from your bra. Your bra is made from much firmer woven fabrics designed to fully support you all day everyday, your swimwear is designed to get wet and dry all in one day while you’re wearing it. These are two products manufactured and constructed in completely different ways for different purposes.
